Hot Shades for Sun Safety Week

Sun Safety Week is here (June 1 through 7), and to promote sun safety awareness, Cinzia Designs' Cynthia Shapiro, founder and optical industry expert, has some ideas for protecting your peepers from harsh summer rays.

Shapiro's tips for protecting your eyes:

Wear your sunglasses all day. Even though the sun may not look as bright in early morning or late afternoon hours, those harmful UV rays are still there.
Large frames are in right now, and covering the area around your eyes can help fight off crow's feet, freckles and other signs of sun damage and aging.
Choose a pair of sunglasses that filters 99 or 100% of UV rays and doesn't distort vision. Cinzia Designs' sunglasses have a UV 400 sticker, which guarantees the highest UV light protection.
Don't be afraid to spend a little extra on a quality pair of sunglasses, and make sure you choose a style that you're willing to wear all the time. Sunglasses can't do their job if they're poorly made or if you rarely wear them!
